State Assembly candidate and Palo Alto City Councilmember Marc Berman has earned the endorsement of California State Assemblymember and Speaker pro-Tempore Kevin Mullin.

“As a San Mateo County native, this community is incredibly important to me,” said Mullin. “That’s why I’m proud to support Marc’s campaign for the state assembly. Marc is hardworking, passionate and determined, and I would be thrilled to work alongside him on behalf of San Mateo County residents in Sacramento.”

“I'm honored and excited to receive the endorsement of Assemblymember Kevin Mullin. Kevin, who represents the district just north of AD24, has been a leader in the Assembly on critical issues including responsible budgeting, election reform, clean energy, biotech and strengthening our innovation economy. Having his support is a huge boost to the campaign, both in the district and in Sacramento.”

Kevin Mullin was elected to represent the 22nd Assembly District in 2012. Sworn in as Speaker pro-Tempore of the Assembly in December 2014, Mullin’s district is just north of the 24th Assembly District and covers most of San Mateo County, including Belmont, Brisbane, Burlingame, Emerald Lake Hills, Foster City, Highlands-Baywood Park, Hillsborough, Millbrae, Montara, Pacifica, Redwood City, San Bruno, San Carlos, San Mateo, and South San Francisco.

With his endorsement of Berman, Mullin joins numerous San Mateo County leaders in supporting Berman for State Assembly, including incumbent Assemblymember Rich Gordon and Supervisors Don Horsley and Warren Slocum, as well as former Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson.
